The Love of My Life - Kelso Reese - Part 3 with Lady Diana - 26 June 2011

It goes without saying that Kelso is always blog worthy. He has the ability to drive me more crazy than anyone else can, but he also has the ability to make me the proudest mother on this earth. He is such an amazing little boy and so unique in his own right. On a drive down to KZN to drop him off with his Gogo, he decided that he was to be the roadtrip photographer. He fell in love with Diana. It didn't matter to him that he couldn't see the pictures he had taken, he got us all to say cheese, he took photo's of everything.

It was quite a proud moment for me because for that short while, he shared my passion, we shared a love and us enjoying it together rocked my world big time. He has since found a new interest, but I am sure he and Lady Di will cross paths in the near future.

Retro Treasures

I honestly believe I was born in the wrong era. I enjoy things that are from a time that I know very little about, things that went out of fashion before I was even thought of.

Things are not made they way they used to be. I would like to see a piece of furniture made 3 years ago last another 20 years. I have a Radiogram that is around 50 years old. I bet it has been passed through different hands and it is now mine. I have tea cups and wine glasses that I am sure are just as old.

I sit here and wonder if this doesn't apply to people as well. We are just not made the way we used to be!

These all belonged to other people. Someone's junk became my treasures.

Soulful Splendor - 19 June 2011

I write this in July. It is about 9 days short of a month later. Not sure where all the time has been. But this was a day that was all about me. It was father's day and I got to spend it treating myself to a day of good food, a good movie and some real random 2nd hand buys.

It has been so crazy busy at work that I jumped at the opportunity to just be. To be Candice and do what pleases me the most, mission around and spend money! The greatest highlight of my day was finding an old radio that reminded me of visits to the farm with my father. when I saw the radio, It was like looking back in time. Except this one in much better condition. It was day that reminded me why this place is so awesome. All the drama aside, we live in a crazy country, so diverse and interesting and do easy to pick up a bargain.

I could go on in detail, but I will let the images tell the story of the day!

I wish everyone a wonderful week end further. Love to everyone.
